BEHIND THE PAINTING

Service 10am Sundays

Worship looks different to each of us.  For some it may be music or singing.  If you look at the front of the sanctuary, you will see another form of worship; another painting by church member Greg.  This is the 3rd piece he has done and there was a lot of meaning behind this one.  Greg had painted a nativity scene for Christmas last year, and then he did a resurrection for Easter.  For the next one, he wanted to make it more personal.  He wanted to represent Montana and the beauty we have here.  This piece has the mountains, river, bald eagles and of course the Bigfork Cross.  He wanted the congregation to be able to feel as if they were looking out the window to see the beauty God has given us.  This labor of love took about 100 hours to complete.  His hope is that you are inspired by what you see.  He is now working on the new nativity scene.  Stay tuned for that and to learn why he painted what he did.
