Family Sunday

Service 10am Sundays

Family Sunday at Real Life Church

At Real Life, we believe church is for every generation — and that includes our kids.

On the last Sunday of each month, we celebrate Family Sunday by inviting children to participate in the entire service alongside the rest of the congregation. You’ll see kids greeting at the door, reading Scripture, helping with worship, and even preparing communion.

We know it’s a little louder. A little more wiggly. But that’s part of the joy.

Why Family Sunday?

We want our kids to know they’re not just future members of the church — they’re valuable right now. When children are present in the service, they begin to see themselves as part of the body of Christ. They hear the Word. They sing with us. They take communion (once they have made a commitment to Christ). They learn, even just by being in the room, that faith isn’t something reserved for grown-ups — it’s something they can walk in today.

We also know that kids learn differently and grow best when they’re taught in age-appropriate ways. That’s why, on other Sundays, we offer a separate children’s church time with lessons and discussion designed just for them.

But once a month, we slow down and make space for the whole family to worship together — to serve, learn, and grow side by side. Because the sound of children in church isn’t a distraction. It’s the sound of life, legacy, and God at work in every generation.

What if my kids are noisy or restless?

They probably will be. That’s okay. We’ve structured Family Sunday with that in mind. There are tables with space to spread out, activity resources in the back, and a community that values your kids being exactly who they are.

We’re not trying to create a perfect experience — we’re building a faithful family.
